Who we are
Aasha Ka Kiran Sanstha (Rays of Hope Organization) is a self-governing, non-profit, non-political and non-governmental social organisation, established in 2077 BS. Our head office is in Rapti Rural Municipality, Ward No. 1, Bhalubang, Dang. Our main working area is Dang district, and with the approval of local authorities we can extend our work across Nepal as needed.
Our vision
Our organisation was founded on the belief that the active participation and creativity of young people are essential to free our society from anomalies and bad habits, which unemployment often makes worse. We are dedicated to eliminating social evils, anomalies and malpractices to build a civilised and progressive society.
Our objectives
- Organise young people and encourage them to take the lead in social activities.
- Improve community health and the standard of living through health camps and public awareness programmes.
- Provide humanitarian assistance and relief to people affected by natural and man-made disasters.
- Run skill-oriented training programmes to uplift economically disadvantaged communities.
- Bring young people together by organising and promoting sports programmes.
- Run public awareness campaigns to end caste and gender discrimination, superstition, child marriage and other harmful social customs.
- Promote environmental protection and conservation through tree plantation programmes.
